Good Morning All!!! It’s Monday the beginning of another lovely week.  Some of us may be having Monday Blues.

Today’s blog tour is Everything Under The Sun by Jessica Redmerski. Jessica has written books under a pseudo name, I bet you could guess which books they are. I want to thank Jessica for answering 6 simple questions.

The giveaway with this tour is five signed copy of Everything Under The Sun, bookmarks and postcard.  😊👏

Publication date: August 28th 2017
Genres: Adult, Dystopian, Post-Apocalyptic, Romance, Suspense

Thais Fenwick was eleven-years-old when civilization fell, devastated by a virus that killed off the majority of the world’s population. For seven years, Thais and her family lived in a community of survivors deep in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. But when her town is attacked by raiders, she and her blind sister are taken away to the East-Central Territory where she is destined to live the cruel and unjust kind of life her late mother warned her about.

Atticus Hunt is a troubled soldier in Lexington City who has spent the past seven years trying to conform to the vicious nature of men in a post-apocalyptic society. He knows that in order to survive, he must abandon his morals and his conscience and become like those he is surrounded by. But when he meets Thais, morals and conscience win out over conformity, and he risks his rank and his life to help her. They escape the city and set out together on a long and perilous journey to find safety in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Struggling to survive in a world without electricity, food, shelter, and clean water, Atticus and Thais shed their fear of growing too close, and they fall hopelessly in love. But can love survive in such dark times, or is it fated to die with them?

S: Jessica, what does literary success looks like to you?

J:  From someone who loves the art of writing more than recognition, I’d say literary success is being able to write every single day and enjoy it. But it certainly doesn’t hurt to also have literary success in recognition and book sales.

S:  What is your writing Kryptonite?

J:   Stress. And I have so much of it these days (since 2013 to be exact) that it’s a miracle I ever finish a book anymore.

S:  What did you edit out of Everything Under The Sun?

J:   An intense scene with Atticus and Thais that might have been taken the wrong way by readers. But I don’t want to go into detail.

S: Do you read your reviews? How do you feel about the bad ones?

J:   I try not to read reviews (bad or good) because they tend to color the way I write future books. I made the big mistake of taking reviews to heart when I first started, and the result was me trying to please everyone, which is impossible. My books weren’t really mine anymore, as I never would have written some things if I didn’t feel pressured to do so. As far as how I feel about bad reviews: I agree with them half of the time.

S: Why did you choose to write different genres of books under different names?

J:   I only recently started trying to separate my genres, because I thought I could get away with writing everything under the same name. I was wrong. I encourage any writer never to publish different genres under the same author name unless they want confused and disappointed readers that assume everything you write is going to be just like that one book you wrote they loved so much.

S: What authors did you dislike at first but grew into?

J:  None really. If I dislike a style of writing, I generally stay away from it.

😊 Jessica thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions.
